Things change quickly in the field of fleet sustainability, and everyone seems to have a different opinion about what you should do. Gain the tools and methodologies fleet managers need to create sustainable plans, to acquire sustainable fleet assets, and to implement eco-driving and change management practices that help fleets reach their organization’s sustainability goals. This course will explore: Building a Sustainable Fleet Program, Acquiring a Sustainable Fleet, Driver Training, Fleet Metrics, Fuel Tracking, Sustainable Leadership and Change Management.

- Online Exam – first sitting is included. Additional sittings may be purchased if needed.
- Certificate will be awarded to all participants who pass the online exam by July 21 2027.

Sapienza has more than 35 years of experience, serving in various leadership and teaching roles in the automotive industry. For the past 12 years, he has worked at the NC Clean Energy Technology Center at North Carolina State University, serving as Clean Transportation Program director and most recently as industry partnership director. In these roles, he collaborated with industry, government and academia to expand alternative fuels and infrastructure throughout North Carolina, the Southeast and North America. He is the originator and host of the Sustainable Fleet Technology Conference and webinar series. Earlier in his career, he worked for a decade at General Motors in vehicle testing, advanced vehicle development and program management.
This workshop has been approved by NAFA Fleet Management Association for 4 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE), which may be applied towards CAFM recertification credit.
